Claudia Estelle (Hall) Johnson, 87 year-old Seminole resident passed from this life December 5, 2009 at Solara Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was born May 25, 1922 in Point Cedar, Arkansas to parents Lester Wylie Hall and Lelia (Brumley) Hall.

Claudia married Luther Fox Johnson in 1940. They moved to Seminole from Okmulgee to live in the “Plant 13” area in 1945. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1983.

Claudia was a homemaker and had worked as a cook at “Granny Fern’s” restaurant in Seminole and at the Seminole Elk’s lodge as well as Pioneer Nursing Home. She was affiliated with the Assemblies of God Church.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law; Lester Eugene Johnson and his wife Sami of Huntsville, Alabama, Henry Dallas Johnson of Seminole, Oklahoma and Denver J. Johnson and his wife Danita of Bloomington, Illinois; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Faye Hailey and her husband Charley of Holdenville, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive her; other survivors include a host of other family and dear friends.

Claudia is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and by one brother and five sisters.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 7, 2009 at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole, Oklahoma.
