Charlotte Adkins, 78, of Portage Lakes went to meet her husband, Grady and daughter, Tonna with her family by her side on March 13, 2016 after a long battle with Parkinson's.

She was born in Akron July 9, 1937 to the late Joseph T. and Nettie M. Smith.

Charlotte was a fan and promoter of Bluegrass music. She enjoyed camping with her friends Sherely (Alice) Freed and Kenny (Sue) Howell.

Charlotte was a loving and caring mother and will be deeply missed by her children, Linda (Donnie) Frye, Kevin (Lisa) Adkins and Lisa (Larry) Efaw; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert (Barbara) Smith; and her faithful "furbaby" T.J.

She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Blonay and Catherine Smith and JoAnn Goforth.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to all the family and friends who contributed to her wonderful life! Charlotte would have loved for everyone to give a gesture of love to someone with a hug or a kiss.
