April 10, 1921 – March 2, 2016
Norma 94, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away, peacefully, with her family at her side on March 2, 2016, at Long Beach Community Hospital from complications of pneumonia. She was born in La Jolla, CA to Gillis and Myrtle Bennett, and grew up in Ojai, CA before moving to Long Beach to work in the Naval Ship Yard in 1942. Norma married Arthur (Art) W. Braman Sr. in 1944 and had a son and a daughter. They really enjoyed many years of family vacations camping and fishing with family and friends. After Arthur's passing in 1966, Norma worked for Boeing as an assembler for 10 years and married Delno (Del) K. Sheely in 1972. Norma and Del enjoyed traveling the world and visiting with family and friends until Del's passing in 1988. Norma continued traveling with friends in a travel club for many years. She is survived by her son, Bill Braman; daughter, Lou Anne Alexander; and daughter- in- law, Diane Braman; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was a most loving and caring person who will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew her! Services will be held at Cypress Forest Lawn Church of Our Fathers on Monday, March 14 at 2 pm.
