Bio

My name is Brian Ford Aikens, the middle name of Ford being my mother, Marilyn Ada Ford Aikens Day's (1934-2002) maiden name. My father is Ronald Garrard Aikens (1935-2015). I was introduced to genealogy when our BYU Ward put together our Four Generation Sheets for the Provo Temple dedication in 1972. Often I would go up to Ogden, Utah from school and listen to my Grandma Aikens stories. The family history bug caught. My father and I have traveled in West Virginia and Virginia tracking down family history and gravestones. The trek took us to Utah, with James William Aikens travels to Ogden, where I, my father and grandfather, Harold Raymond Aikens were born in the Dee Hospital. I have done quite a bit of research also on my wife's side, Bennett, Karcher, Whittle, Thomas and on and on. I love tracking down the family and gathering the stories. I can be reached at [email protected]. I would love to hear from you and share what we know.If for some reason you would like changes made to a page for which I am responsible, please Message me. Please do not have pages for which I am responsible transferred without my knowledge. This also applies to anyone at Find A Grave.
