She was born Mt. Airy, North Carolina, daughter of the late Troy and Maude Monday Fulcher. Kay was married to G. Amyl Haffelt, Sr. and he preceded her in death on December 10, 2002. She was retired from Holzer Medical Center Business Office and a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Pamela three grandchildren, Justin , Whitney Amy a great granddaughter, 6 step grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; her “other daughters”, and 5 special "daughters"
In addition to her parents and husband, Amyl Haffelt Sr., Kay was preceded in death by her son, George A. Haffelt, Jr. in 2012.
