"The funeral of the late Mrs. Mahala Campbell occurred at her residence in South Livermore, Wednesday, January 26, Rev. S. E. Leech, pastor of the M. E. Church officiating. The deceased had been a member of the Methodist church for many years. Her husband of 85 years survives her years. They had lived together nearly, being married April 1, 1838. Only one child survives her, a daughter Mrs. Mary Hescock of Livermore, with whom Mr. Campbell finds a home."
