Cecilia Donken, 81, Denver, former Hays resident, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Autumn Heights Care Center, Denver. She was born Jan. 19, 1931, in Hays, Kansas, to Leo and Clara (Wasinger) Leikam.

She married Tony Donken. He died in 1982.

She was a graduate of Girls Catholic High, worked for the local phone company and worked at Fort Hays Kansas State College all in Hays. She worked for the State of Colorado and has been a resident of Denver for over 40 years.

Survivors include three sisters, Gladys Dreiling, Denver, Alice Beall, Crown Point, Ind., and Catherine Barnes, Hampstead, N.C.; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Leikam, Denver.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; five brothers, Elmer, Alfred, Ralph, Gerald and Francis Leikam; one sister, Mary Ann Walters; and an infant sister, Catherine Clara Leikam.

A private family inurnment was held Friday at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hays. Cline's Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
