Glenda (Dyce) Anderson-Sims died unexpectedly the morning of August 27, 2015, following a renewed battle with cancer.
Glenda was born August 23, 1943, at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Oregon, to Glenn and Joan (Tucker) Anderson. Glenda’s parents moved frequently in her early years. She graduated from high school in Elgin, Oregon, in 1961. She then attended business school in Baker City, Oregon.
After school, she settled in Pendleton where she met and married Ron Patrick Sims. She was a homemaker as well as working as a secretary most recently for Umatilla County Juvenile Department until her retirement.
Glenda loved people and lived life to the fullest in spite of her many health issues through the years. She also enjoyed family and friends on Facebook.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Ron; sons Glynn and Guy; daughters-in-law Mickey and Emma; brother John Anderson; sister Susie; grandsons Patrick, Adam and Gregory, and her only granddaughter Layla; great-grandson Damion, and great-granddaughter Melody. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who were close to her heart.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at Olney Cemetery.
