A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2008, in Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Portland for Alexander "Bud" Bain, who died June 9 at age 91.
Alexander Bain was born Dec. 14, 1916, in Portland, where he lived all his life. He graduated from Benson Polytechnic High School and was a mechanic for TriMet for 37 years. In 1950, he married Florence Hoops.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Peggy Devol; sons, Paul, Timothy and Bruce; birth sons, John Serago and David Serago; 21 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
