Mr. L.G. Henshaw, age 90 of Paint Rock, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at his home. He was surrounded by his loving family.

L.G. was a WWII veteran, stationed in Okinawa in the South Pacific, he was awarded the rank of Sergeant. L.G. was a native of Paint Rock and worked for Allison Candy Company for several years before going into business for himself. Most importantly, L.G. was a Christian, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved, provided, and cared deeply for his family. LG. loved gospel music, Atlanta Braves, and of course, the Crimson Tide.

L.G. was preceded in death by his father, George W. Henshaw; mother, Virginia Sisk Henshaw; brother, Jack Henshaw; and sister, Annie D. Sims. The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of Scottsboro Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 with Pastor Bro. Phillip Cody officiating. Interment will follow in the Henshaw Cemetery in Estill Fork, AL. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
