Tate, 75-year-old retired farmer, died at the home of his brother, Joe B. Tate, here, January 25 at 5:25 a.m. He had been in ill health for the past two years. Funeral services were held Thursday at 11 a.m. At the Philadelphia Church in Grundy county. Bro. Binkley officiated, and burial was in the church cemetery. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tate, Albert Franklin Tate was born in Grundy county in November 1881. He was married to the former Miss Pearl King in 1901. She died August 4, 1955. Mr. Tate was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are six sons, Jasper, Paul and Lester Tate, Tarlton; Morton Tate, Fort Benning, Ga., and Roscoe and Edward Tate, Tarlton; four daughters, Mrs. W. L. Johnson, Augusta, Maine; Mrs. Joe B. Tate, McMinnville; Mrs. Sidney Walker, Beersheba, and Mrs. Albert Rogers, Petersburg, Florida, and two sisters, Mrs. Nancy Tate and Mrs. Mary Tate, both of Kemberly, Idaho. Arrangements were by High Funeral Home.
