He spent his entire life in Frederick and was educated at St. John's School and then entered the tailoring business, conducting the firm of Kennedy Brothers. He was secretary of the Catholic Benevolent Legion, a member of St. John's Council, Knights of Columbus, and the Independent Hose Company.
Besides his widow, Mrs. E. Lillian Poole Kennedy, he is survived by the following children: J. Harry Kennedy, Mrs. Edna G. Kennedy, Frank E. Kennedy, and Ernest F. Kennedy, all of Frederick; Sister Mary Ann, of Mt. St. Agnes College, Mt. Washington; and Mrs. S. Gertrude Topper, wife of F. Quinn Topper, of Emmitsburg; and 13 grandchildren.
The funeral will take place with a low Mass at St. John's Church; interment in St. John's cemetery; C.E. Cline and Son were the funeral directors.
