Harrisburg – Helen D. Elam, passed away Friday, June 17, 2005 at 4:00 A.M. at her residence.

Helen was born February 19, 1939 to Loren & Opal (Kimmel) Sanders in Johnston City. She married James Earl Kelley in Marion and he preceded her in death on May 25, 1989. She later married William Elam on May 17, 2002 in Marion, Kentucky and he survives of Harrisburg.

Helen was a homemaker. She operated a Day Care Center and was a foster parent. She was of the Baptist faith and attended Freedom Freewill Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 20, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
