The Rev. James Earl Kelley, 55, died at 6:34 pm Thursday, May 25, 1989 in Marion Memorial Hospital. Services will be in Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Kelley was a retired mail carrier. He was a member of the Postal Carrier's Union, Freeman Spur Freewill Baptist Church and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
He was born August 31, 1933 in Marion to Earl and Velma Garner Kelley. He married Delores Sanders in 1957 and she survives. Other survivors include sons, Kevin of Pensacola FL and David of Langley Air Force Base VA, daughter, Beverly Davis of Marion, his father of Marion, sisters, Mary Parkhurst of Kinmundy, Louise Taylor of Carterville and Cheryl Gilley of Herrin and four grandchildren.
