Funeral services for Earl Gordon "Buddy" Buck, 84 of Salina will be held Monday, September 25, 2006 at Key Funeral Home Chapel in Locust Grove with Reverend Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Lexington, OK with Reverend Dale Kirkhuff officiating. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home of Locust Grove.

Mr. Buck was born February 27, 1922 in Sperry, Oklahoma to William Franklin and Abbygail (Shelton) Buck. He died September 21, 2006 in Denton, Texas.

Earl grew up and attended school in Sperry, OK, graduating from high school in 1940. He served in World War II in the Navy as a Radioman on the USS Bello Wood. He married Bonnie Marie Hall of February 2, 1948 in Fort Worth, TX. The couple lived in Tulsa, Lexington and Salina areas. Earl spent most of his career as an aircraft machinist, working for McDonnell Douglas. He loved to fish and hunt. Earl's life revolved around his friends and family and he always made time for his children.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Barbara Donwerth of Chouteau, OK, Susan Buck of Pilot Point, TX and Donna Burnett and husband Tommy of Pilot Point, TX; 4 grandchildren, Michael Buck, David Donwerth, Christine Barnett and April Noneman; 6 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Bill Buck of Sperry, OK, Lewis Buck of Skiatook, OK and Johnnie Buck of Broken Arrow, OK; and 1 sister, Ruth Yeamans of Skiatook, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bonnie in 2003 and 1 son, William Earl Miller.
