Walter “Bo” Pillow Aldridge of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on March 2, 2016. He was born in Greenwood, Mississippi on March 20, 1942 to the late Jack Paxton and Lillian Pillow Aldridge. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Dr. Jack Paxton Aldridge, III.

Bo was a 1960 graduate of Greenwood High School. He graduated from the University of Mississippi where he was a member of the Ole Miss Football team from 1962-1964. He was also a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and the Army ROTC while at Ole Miss. He served as a Captain in the United States Army until 1968. He loved fishing and college football, was an avid gardener and loved spending time with his four children and three grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter Susan Aldridge Boothe and husband John of Tazewell, Virginia, daughter Kappi Aldridge Whiteman of Glen Allen, Virginia, sons Will Aldridge and Hunter Aldridge both of Abingdon, Maryland, and grandsons Trey Boothe, Jackson Whiteman and Cooper Whiteman. He is also survived by his brother John Aldridge and wife Marie of Greenwood, Mississippi and sister-in-law Dr. Ann Aldridge of San Antonio, Texas.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 28, 2016 at 1:00PM at the Southwest Virginia Veteran’s Cemetery in Dublin, Virginia.
