Memorial services ~ Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at the Driftwood Christian Church with Pastor Max Boothby officiating. She was cremated under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Megan Lea Smith, daughter of George Dale and Luann (Thompson) Courson, was born September 18, 1978, at Kiowa, Kansas, and passed away February 17, 2016, at Alva, Oklahoma, at the age of 37 years, 4 months, and 29 days.

Megan attended Burlington School before graduating from Alva High School. She worked at Mean Clean Housekeeping Services.

She was a member of the Driftwood Christian Church. She loved her four children who were her whole world; enjoyed hanging out with friends and being outdoors in warm weather.

Megan is survived by her four children, Joshua Johnson of Louisiana, Kaylea Smith, Keaton Smith, Drake Smith, all of Alva; her parents, Dale and Luann Courson of Alva; her sister, Mindi Cornforth and husband, David, of Elmore City, her brother, Derrick Courson and wife, Angela, of Alva; her grandmother, Rella Sanberry of Kiowa, Kansas; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Driftwood Christian Church Youth.
