SEYMOUR - Cagle David "C.D." Riggins, 78, died Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church in Seymour with Dr. Sammy Elliott, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Ochiltree Cemetery in Perryton with Rick Riggins officiating. Arrangements are by Seymour Memorial Funeral Home in Seymour.

Mr. Riggins was born April 24, 1928, in Newcastle. He was an electrician for the Texas-New Mexico Power Co. for 25 years, retiring in 1990. He married Jimmie Ann Clifton on June 7, 1950, in Seymour. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and a member of First Baptist Church, Ochiltree Masonic Lodge, The Wheatheart Shrine-Kiva Temple, the Elks Lodge No. 2368, and the IOOF Lodge.

He was preceded in death by a son, Roger David Riggins, on Nov. 3, 1998.

Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Riggins; a daughter, Resa Poe of Midland; a son Rick Riggins and wife Carla of Lubbock; a sister, Floetta Harman of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Chad Riggins and wife Mendy, Stuart Riggins and wife Annalisa, Summer Riggins, Savanna Smith and husband Michael, Tanisha Anderson and husband Casey, Chance Riggins and Kelsie Carrrol and husband Nick; and three great-grandchildren, Caden and Jackson Riggins and Rileigh Caroll.

The family suggests memorials be to the Scottish Rite Children's Hospital.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
