BARNEY D. ADCOCK

(West Point, GA) Barney D. Adcock, age 78, of West Point, Georgia died Tuesday May 7, 1991 at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, after a short illness.

A Randolph County native, Mr. Adcock was retired from Lanett Mill with 24 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an active member of Reed's Chapel Baptist Church, West Point, where he served as a deacon for 30 years.

Mr. Adcock is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ruby Anglin Adcock of West Point; three sisters, Mrs. Flora Weathers and Mrs. Winnie Veal of Roanoke and Mrs. Liza Burdette of LaGrange, Ga.; three brothers, Arney Adcock and Thomas Adcock of Roanoke and William Adcock of Albany, Ga.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Thursday, May 9, at 11 a.m. at Reed's Chapel Baptist Church, with burial in Marseilles Cemetery, West Point. The Rev. Brad Reed and the Rev. Jay Knight officiated.

McCarthy Funeral Home of West Point was in charge of arrangements.
