HERMON MEYER IS DEAD
Death Came to Relieve His Sufferings Last Evening
at 10 o'clock at His Home in Hume
The death of Herman G. Meyer occurred last night a few minutes after 10 o'clock at his home in Hume. Mr. Meyer contracted a severe cold some time ago and it developed into pneumonia. It was thought that he was getting better, but he suffered a relapse a few days ago, and he rapidly grew worse up to last night when life left him.
No arrangements can be made until word is received from his son Henry, who is in Washington state. It will probably be held next Tuesday or Wednesday, due announcements will be made later in the daily papers. Word has also been sent to a sister, Mrs. H. Jansen of Loraine, Kansas, and to a half-sister, Mrs. Behrends Homfled, of Fulda, Minn.
Mr. Meyer would have been fifty-eight years old had he lived until the eighth of this month. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife and nine children, most of them grown, there being six sons and three daughters. A full obituary will be published at a later date. The deceased was a good man, and he was widely known in his community as well as in this city and vicinity.
