Dr. Andrew Bulfer M.D., 81, of Chicago, formerly of Peru, died Nov. 14 in Chicago.

He is survived by his wife, the former Julie Sawyer, of Chicago; three sons, Mike and Tim of Chicago and Andrew in New Jersey; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Rose Wessel of La Salle; and one brother, Charles of Peru.

Dr. Bulfer was born Oct. 6, 1903. He attended St. Bede Academy, St. John's College in Minnesota ant the Loyola School of Medecine. He practiced in Chicago most of his life.

Dr. Bulfer also served as a colonel in the U.S. Army for six years with four of those years spent in the South Pacific in World War II.

Private funeral services were held at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Chicago.
