Lura Elizabeth Butler was born on April 21, 1890 in Brooks County, Georgia. She was the daughter of Harmen Jasper Butler (b. March 24, 1853 (place unknown), d. May 29, 1928, Berlin, Colquitt County, Georgia) and Elizabeth Crosby (b. December 12, 1851, (place unknown), d. February 19, 1925, Berlin, Colquitt County, Georgia). Lura Elizabeth Butler married James Ancil Westberry on May 6, 1906. He was the son of General Jackson Westberry (b. September 29, 1864, Hamilton County, Florida, d. October 26, 1951, Moultrie, Colquitt County, Georgia) and Marietta Elizabeth Folsom (b. July 26, 1860, (place unknown), d. between 1912-1914, Colquitt County, Georgia). To Lura Elizabeth Butler Westberry and James Ancil Westberry were born 8 children: Lloyd Ralph Westberry (b. September 29, 1907, Valdosta, Lowndes County, Georgia, d. April 17, 1989, Lake Placid, Highlands County, Florida), Harvey Westberry (b. December 29, 1910, Berlin, Brooks, Georgia, d. June 03, 1913, Berlin, Brooks County. Georgia), Fane Harris Westberry (b. James did not like farming and decided to sell his home in Berlin, Colquitt County, Georgia and move south. They lived for a short time in North Florida and eventually moved to Miami, Dade County, Florida about 1922. James worked as a sanatation worker and eventually a nursery man for the city of Coral Gables, Dade County, Florida. After the birth of their last child, the doctors advised Lura and her husband that she should not have any more children. Unfortunately, she became pregnant again and died shortly after. Lura Elizabeth Butler Westberry died on June 17, 1928 after a short illness. She was 36 years old at the time of her passing. Her body was sent back to Berlin, Colquitt County, Georgia on a train with her husband accompanying the body. Burial was in the Wesley Chapel Graveyard. She is buried in the same family plot with her father, mother, her son Harvey (died at 3 years old) and grandparents Adam Joshua Crosby (Confederate Soldier, b. April 28, 1828, South Carolina, d. September 15, 1904, Berlin, Colquitt County, Georgia) and Lucy Griffin Crosby (b. March 12, 1833, Irwin County, Georgia, d. March 27, 1919, Brooks County, Georgia). Following her death, her husband James Ancil Westberry remarried in 1930. He married Alice Lourine Spencer (b. September 29, 1906, d. May 17, 1970, Miami, Dade County, Florida).
