Kissee was born April 13, 1963, in Carthage, Mo., to Darrell and Chali (Wilson) Kissee. He graduated from Shawnee Mission West High School in Overland Park, Kan., in 1981 and from Missouri Southern State College in 1998.
He worked as a car salesman for many years.
He married Teresa Thulin on June 2, 2001, in Miami. She survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include one son, Caleb Andrew Kissee, of the home; one daughter, Courtney Lynn Kissee, of the home; two stepsons, Dustin Wade Duboise of Miami and William Robert Elledge, of the home; one stepdaughter, Kelly Nicole Duboise of Miami; his parents, of Kenner, La.: two sisters, Kristen M. Kissee of Deerborn, Mich., and Melissa L. Sherwood of Overland Park, and his grandmother, Mrs. Chet A. Wilson of Joplin, Mo.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami with the Rev. Bob Barker officiating. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami.
The family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
