Edith Wing Peacock married the widowed Wesley C. Peacock, Sr. about 1903 in San Antonio, TX. They had children and remained married until Wesley's death in 1941.

Wesley C. Peacock, Sr. Peacock established Peacock Military Academy, in San Antonio in 1894, also known Peacock Military College. Wesley's first wife died and he then married Edith who aided in the operation of the Academy. Wesley, Sr., remained president until 1926, when he gave active management to his sons; Col. Wesley Peacock, Jr., became superintendent, and Col. Donald W. Peacock became commandant of cadets. The academy ceased operation in June 1973, and the entire school plant, over fifteen acres and fifteen buildings with their furnishings, was conveyed to the Salvation Army.
