Oliver Hampton Mills, 96, of Carrollton, Ky., formerly of Frankfort, Ky., died Sunday, March 6, 2016, at Fairview Place in Carrollton, Ky.

He was born May 31, 1919, in Inez, Ky., to Leonard and Virgie Lee Davis Mills. He served during World War II. He was a retired contractor and owned Mills Excavation Company in Frankfort, Ky. He was a member of Capital City Christian Church in Frankfort, Ky.

He is survived by three daughters, Teresa Kemper of Carrollton, Ky., Yvonne Bradford of Michigan and Brenda Ratcliff of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Wade Mills and Clete Mills, both of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Catherine Mills and Verneda Fuller, both of Columbus, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah May Mills, who died in 1989; one son, Danny Mills; and his parents.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Frankfort Cemetery. No visitation is scheduled.
