Reida W. Palmer, died Saturday, February 27, 2016. She was the daughter of Samuel H. and Wilkie Barnes White. She was blessed to share life with an identical twin sister and younger brother. In college she majored in Business Administration. She worked at The Merchants & Farmers Bank in Kosciusko, Mississippi and First Federal Savings and Loan in Starkville, Mississippi. Reida was married to Rupert D. Palmer in a candle light ceremony at the Baptist Church. They walked the pathway of life hand in hand for 62 years. They were the parents of a handsome son and a beautiful daughter. They lived in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Starkville, Mississippi and Bryan, Texas. In each location a major decision was to select a church home. First Baptist Church was their choice in Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Ruth W. Lane. She is survived by her devoted husband Dr. Rupert D. Palmer, son Robert T. Palmer and wife Lorraine, daughter Regina P. Wheaton and husband William, grandchildren Alexander W. Wheaton, Alison R. Wheaton, Roanna E. Palmer, Ramsey E. Palmer and Robert T. Palmer, Jr. brother Samuel H. White, three brothers-in-law, nieces and nephew.
