Barney Alexander, 80, Iberia, died Thursday, January 14 at
Windsor Estates Nursing Home, Camdenton. He was born October 19, 1901, in Miller County, the son of Sherman and Saurilda Holycross Alexander. He was married June 6, 1945, at Rolla to Mary E. Duncan, who survives at the home.
A life-long resident of Miller County, Mr. Alexander was a World War II veteran and a retired farmer.
Other survivors include: four brothers, W.S. Alexander and
Charlie Alexander, both of Dixon, Orville Alexander, Richland, and Arthur Alexander, Meta; and one sister, Mrs. Laura Shelton, Granite City, Illinois.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 16 in the
Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home, Iberia, with Bro. Farris Wall officiating. Burial was in the Freedom Cemetery near Iberia.
