Norma L. Leonard, age 75, of Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at her home.

She was born March 16, 1940 in Bristol, Tenn., a daughter of the late Frederick W. and Lula Mae Reedy Leonard.

Norma was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area. She retired from Raytheon after 19 years. Norma attended Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church. She was a member of Bristol VFW Auxiliary #6975 for over 30 years, the American Legion for 20 years and the Hackler Wood Post #145.

She is survived by her sons, Earl C. Leonard Jr. and Wesley L. Leonard; four grandchildren, Lloyd E. “Corky” Leonard, Hope Marie Leonard, Michael W.C. Leonard, Dillon M.B. Leonard; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2016 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mike Eklund and Brother Robert L. Eklund officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. prior to the service.

The interment will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mountain View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be members of Tennessee Avenue Baptist Church. A procession to the cemetery will leave Weaver Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Wellmont Hospice Nurses for their special loving care.
