Queen E. Morris Brown, 75, of Batavia, IL passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL.
Born to Dan and Ethel Morris June 4, 1940. Attended public schools in New Orleans. Graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor's Degree and Illinois State University with a Master's Degree in Education.
She was united in marriage to the late Joe L Brown Jr. From this union was born Joe and Michele; three grandchildren. She is also survived by sister and brother in-laws, nieces, a special nephew and many, many friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Dan and Ethel Morris; husband, Joe L. Brown Jr.; son, Joe L. Brown III; 8 siblings, (3 sisters): Helen Bozonier (Cyril), Thelma Patterson (Johnny), and Linnie Scott; (5 brothers) Clay, Kenneth, Louis, Daniel, and Jimmie Morris; and her Father in law, Joe Brown Sr. and Mother in law, Lucy Brown.
She will be missed because she was truly the Queen, a special and unique person as her given name.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00PM on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 S. Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 11, 2016, also at Moss Family Funeral Home. Interment River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her name to Children's Leukemia Research Association, www.childrenleukemia.org.
