Mary was born on October 8, 1924, in Watertown, South Dakota. She was one of eight children of Ross and Amanda Clapp. They moved to Sandy, Oregon during the depression.
She married Ralph I. Neibauer in 1942 and moved to Gresham, Oregon. She later married Burton A. Kindred in 1973, and moved to southeast Portland, Oregon.
For many years she was active in 4-H. She loved gardening and growing flowers.
She is survived by her three children: daughters; Carol Washburn and Darlene Neibauer-Paz; son: Gary R. Neibauer; and four grandchildren.
