James A. Trego, 73, of Chillicothe, died 2:08 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born May 9, 1942, to the late Burl E. and Maxine L. Mitchell Trego.

On August 8, 1963, he married who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, of Chillicothe; three grandsons; great granddaughter; a sister, of Chillicothe; brother-in-law; sister-in-law and sister-in-law and husband, all of Chillicothe.

He was predeceased by a son, Timmy Trego and a sister, Mary Hummel.

James retired in 1994 from Chilpaco and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a member of Post 62, 40 & 8, Amvets 4, and he was a member of the Church of Deliverance.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Church of Deliverance.

Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ross County Veterans Honor Guard.

Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Ware Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Adena Hospice, 111 West Water St., Chillicothe, Ohio 45601.
