Born May 23, 1925, in Mansfield, he was the son of William and Rose Gralka Jasinski.
After serving our country in the U.S. Navy in World War II, he went to work for Commercial Motor Freight, retiring in 1986.
Bernie enjoyed and loved his wife and family more than anyone knows and especially liked going fishing with his son.
He is survived by his wife, sweetheart, and best friend, Norma Reinhart Jasinski, celebrating 60 years of marriage on July 17, 2006; son and daughter-in-law, William "Bill" and Penny Jasinski of Bellville; four granddaughters and one grandson, Amanda, Samantha, Miranda, Hannah, and little Bernie Jasinski; brother-in-law, Ronnie and Phyllis Reinhart of Ohio; sister, Loretta Kvochick of Mansfield; sisters-in-law, Miriam Jasinski of Mansfield, and Marge Carpenter of Bucyrus; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and three sisters.
Military graveside services, conducted by Richland County Joint Veteran's Burial Detail and officiated by the Rev. Doyle Peyton, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006, in Mansfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
