A mass of Christian Burial for Robert S. Love, age 43, of Belton will be held Thursday at 4:30 PM at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Dick Hudson, Deacon Ronnie Lastovica and Deacon Jerry Klement officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:30 PM Wednesday at Dossman Funeral Home with a rosary immediately following.

Robert died Tuesday (8-27-2002) at his home after a lengthy illness.

He was born July 26, 1959 in Temple, Texas to Walter and Mildred (Shafer) Love. He attended Temple schools and was a 1978 graduate of Temple High School. He was a 1980 graduate of Texas State Technical Institute. He married Cindy Duncan on May 22, 1982 in Temple.

He was the Vice-President of All County Surveying, Inc and a Registered Professional Land Surveyor. He was a member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors, Belton Area Chamber of Commerce. He was a graduate of Leadership Belton Class of 2000. Also a member of Temple Chamber of Commerce and Temple/Belton Board of Realtors. He served on the Board of Directors of Belton's Parks and Recreation Board. Robert has coached hundreds of children over the past 12 years, both boys and girls for the Belton Christian Youth Center, the Belton Youth Baseball Associatin and Belton Youth Softball Association.

Robert was an active member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton. He was a member of the Men's Retreat Team - Christ Renews His Parish Team #1. He visited the sick and homebound as a Eucharistic Minister through both St. Lukes Catholic Church in Temple and Christ the King in Belton. Robert shared his love for our Lord by the way in which he lived his life and treated others. He allowed the Lord to use him in his weakness and suffering and was a powerful force in leading others to Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Love of Belton, 2 sons, Marshall Love and Kyler Love both of Belton, 2 daughters, Kelli Love and Jacey Love both of Belton, father and mother, Walter and Millie Love of Temple, father and mother in-law Patrick and Valerie Callahan of Temple, 1 sister, Sheena Herbert of Pasadena, sister and brother-in-law Karen and Bob Allums and their children Duncan and Adrienne all of Temple, brother-in-law, Randy Duncan of Austin, and nephews Chad and Brandon Petty.

Memorial may be made to the Robert S. Love Childrens Education Fund at P. O. Box 1902 Temple, Texas 76503 or the charity of your choice.
