Felix Bruney of Warrenton passed away on June 29, 2014 in Astoria. He was 91. Felix was born November 27, 1922 in Berwick, Louisiana to Joseph & Mary Pearl (Kieff) Bruney.
Felix enlisted in the Navy and was Chief on Mine Sweeper & Destroyer Escort. Some of his work experience included being a commercial fisherman and a business owner. In his free time Felix enjoyed hunting and fishing. Felix was also involved in his community being a 65 year Masonic Lodge member and the past Texas Shrimp Association President.
He married Emmajean Praznik in June of 1943 in Beaumont, Texas.
Felix is preceded in death by his wife Emmajean; son, Mike; daughter, Susan Davis; two brothers, Forrest and Edward; and three sisters, Hilda, Blanche and Susie.
He is survived by his son, Joe Bruney of Warrenton.
