Mary Helen (Turner) Young, age 89, a resident of Dierks, died Sunday, February 28, 2016 in Dierks Health and Rehab.

She was the eighth of ten children born to Archie Weaver and Mary Lucinda (Aylor) Turner on February 10, 1927 at Bingen, Arkansas. She was a member of Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in De Queen.

Ms. Young was a devoted wife to her husband Carl Junior Young until his death on April 28, 2005. From that union, she is survived by three daughters, Helen Carlene Davis of De Queen, La Quita Jo Cox of Dierks and Lanorma Jeanene Deen of Shreveport, Louisiana; sons-in-law, Ronnie Davis, Hercel Cox, Jr., Neil (Buddy) Dean and David Heyman; four grandchildren, Tajaha Stubbs, Paul Cox, Kyle and Darby Deen and three great-grandchildren, Michael Vanvoast, Addison Cox and Annika Deen.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Elton Turner, Eunice Shaw, Oteneth Turner, Lois Seale Blackwood, Elveray Turner, Bobby Gene Turner, Billie Ruth Fant, and two unnamed infants.

Funeral services for Ms. Young will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in Green’s Chapel Methodist Church with her nephew Kenny Fant and Pastor Carroll Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Green’s Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home in Dierks.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, February 29th at the funeral home in Dierks.
