Millie was the youngest child and only daughter of Frederick and Alice Meyer Speaker of Hitchcock.

She was married to Roy Mayeux. She died one day after childbirth due to complications from high blood pressure. The baby boy, Roy Jr. He died the next day. They are buried together.

Millie and Louise Tolbert were best friends. Millie introduced Louise to her brother George. George and Louise married. Millie and Louise gave birth to their first child on the same day.

Millie was always talked about in our home and a large photo of her always hung on the wall when I was growing up.

Millie was very close to George. He was the one that got her dressed for her first day of school. He was the one she always went to and depended on.
