Born in Lafayette Feb. 3, 1898, she lived in the Chicago area before returning to Lafayette in 1924. She graduated from The Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Miss VanDermay had been drapery supervisor at the old Weinford Drapery Story in Lafayette for 20 years, retiring in 1963. A member of First Reformed Church and the Women's Guild, she is survived by two sisters, Jessie Soller and Katheryn VanDermay, both of Lafayette.
