Roberta Jo "Bert" Gregory, 59, of Iola, Kansas, died Sunday, March 29, 2015, at Via-Christi - St. Francis Select Specialty Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.
Bert was born August 21, 1955, in Iola, Kansas, the daughter of Glen A. and Marguerite M. (Creason) Carter. She graduated from Iola High School. Bert married Efren Gregory and they lived in Iola and Moran. He preceded her in death. She was trained as a Certified Nurses Aide, Certified Medication
Aide, and an activities director. Bert worked in area nursing homes and her last employment was with Tara Gardens and Arrowood Lane.
A lot of her time was spent raising children and she helped with the Special Olympics for years. She never met a stranger and always gave you a smile.
Surivors include four sons, Brian of Iola, Derik and wife Bethany of Chanute, Brandon and companion Tobi of LaHarpe, Nekotu of Iola; two daughters, Melissa and her husband Carroll of Center Ridge, Arkansas and Lori and companion Curtis of Winfield; a stepson, Damon of Iola and stepdaughter Alana and her compaion Chris of Chanute; a sister, Pam and her husband Carl of Iola. And her grandchildren: Cage, Coltan, Nalea, and Dalayna, Nikya, Curtis and Jada, Nasha, Keondre and Quentin, Kaziel, Diamond and Damon, Mason and Alec, Kris, Jr., Kianna and Kalea.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Glenda Jones.
