Mary Ellen (Lindley) Coulter was born on March 11, 1926 in Shattuck, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Roy and Cynthia (Henline) Lindley. She passed from this life on February 25, 2016.

Mary grew up with her only sister and best friend, Margaret, in Grant and Alfalfa Counties in rural Oklahoma. Most of her formative years were in the Sand Creek community.

Following her graduation from Manchester High School in 1944, Mary moved to Enid where she attended Business College. It was during this time that she met the love of her life Robert Coulter. Mary and Bob were married December 3, 1947 in Enid, Oklahoma. The couple lived for a short time in Wakita, Oklahoma before moving to Midwest City in 1952. Born to this union were four children, Patricia Ann, Michael Lindley, Charles Russell, and Thomas Neil. Mary was a dedicated daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, if you were fortunate enough to be one of Mary's people you were blessed.

Many problems were discussed around her kitchen table. She was always ready to put her work aside and help when someone needed her. She devoted her life to her family. Whatever they were doing she was always there with them. No one in Mary's circle will ever forget her devotion to her husband, Bob.

After the death of her husband, Mary started on a new adventure. She and her sister, Margaret, traveled around the United States and beyond. She shared with her family that her travels with the Noah group and Margaret were some of her best days. Mary and Margaret were affectionately referred to as the M&M's. After the death of her sister, Mary enjoyed assisting on many committees and special interest groups at church. In these later years, she was sustained by her many friends and church family when she was no longer able to drive.

Mary was proceeded in death by her husband Robert; parents, Roy and Cynthia Lindley; son Thomas Neil Coulter: sister Margaret Best and husband Bob of MWC; grandson Jeffrey Sean Coulter of MWC; and sister-in-law Cleo Green and husband Buck of Grapevine, TX.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Sweet and husband Neil of Vici, OK; son Michael Coulter and wife Claudia of Bethany, OK; son Charles Coulter and wife Anna of Choctaw, OK; twelve grandchildren Jay (Trisia) Sweet of Wasilla, AK; Trisha Salisbury of Vici, OK; Matt (Kara) Coulter of OKC; Jennifer (Mitchell) Dao of OKC; Beca (Trevor) Houchin of OKC: Laura (Erick) Kennedy of OKC; Amber (Jibi) Thomas of Houston,TX; Chad (Melissa) Coulter of Choctaw, OK; Justin (Aimee) Coulter of Piedmont, OK; Jamie (Keith) Erickson of Moore, OK; John Coulter of OKC; TJ Coulter of OKC; seventeen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special neighbor and friend of fifty years, Freida Poplin of MWC; a host of friends and her church family who will miss her greatly.
