Roberta Kathleen Colbert Simmons Marsh, 95, of Bedford, Ky., died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at Signature Health Care in Bedford, Ky.
She was born Oct. 16, 1920, in Bedford, Ky., to Auda and Georgia Wright Colbert. She operated Simmons Restaurant in Ewings Ford, Trimble County. She retired from Kawneer Manufacturing Company after many years of service. She was a longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church and Bedford Baptist Church, where she enjoyed the Semper Fidelis Sunday School class. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking for them.
She is survived by one daughter, Wilma Boyer of Bedford, Ky.; one sister, Ann Bird of Milton, Ky.; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dallas Simmons, who died in October 1977; her second husband, Lloyd Marsh, who died in January 2005; one daughter, Phyllis Boldery; her parents; one sister; three brothers; and one grandchild.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, Ky. Burial will be in Bedford Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the service.
