Doug was a lifelong resident of Baker, he worked with Okaloosa Gas for 22 years, also with Glenn Dotson Farm-ing for a number of years. He enjoyed farming, raising cattle and heavy equipment.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents L.D. and Cuba Austin, his sister Marian Austin.
He is survived by his loving wife Tracy Richards Austin, one step son; Dalton Richards and numerous other family members.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 1 from the Chapel of Brackney Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 am , with Brother Geoff Prows officiating, burial will follow at Pyron Chapel Cemetery, Baker FL. The family will receive friends Monday, February 29, from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
