Native of the Prussian/German partition of Poland, a daughter of Jozef/Joseph "Joe" Cywinski, and, supposedly, also his known wife Katarzyna/Catherine "Katie" (nee Lubiatowski). However, there is some question as to whether Joe may have been previously married, during the era of Frances' birth.

Wife, and eventual widow, of Stanislaw "Stanley" Michalski (born circa 1869, died 1923).

The couple's known children were Mary "Mamie" S. (wife of Joseph S. Rafalko), Edward, Leo, Anthony (husband of the former Helen Golembeski), Helen, Charles (husband of the former Mary Klesko), and Joseph (husband of the former Mary Berardinelli).

Frances is known to have been residing in Minooka, Lackawanna Co., PA by late December 1916 (see Find A Grave linked memorial of Frances' sister Anna). 2649 Birney Ave. is the address of her longtime family home there, and is where she was residing at the time of her death.

Frances' death certificate informant of personal details was son-in-law Joseph Rafalko, of the same home address.
