Mrs. Knudsvig passed quietly away on Thursday morning March 27th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ofrim. She was born in Telemarken, Norway, on July 15, 1862, which made her 81 years, 8 months and 12 days at the time of her death. When she was 8 years old she came with her parents to America in a sailboat. They settled at Ocean, Iowa. She married John Knudsvig there and they moved to Buxton, North Dakota, in 1908, when they moved to Bergen, Alta.
In March 1912 her husband predeceased her. She, together with her family, moved to Camrose the following fall where she has resided ever since. She has been an active member of Lutheran congregation and one of the oldest members of the Camrose Lutheran L.A. at the time of her death. She was also a member of the Mission Band.
She leaves to mourn her loss, 9 children, three boys, John and Ardin of Camrose, and Edwin of Victoria, B.C.; six daughters, Martha (Mrs. Tutland) Everett, Wash.; Amelia (Mrs. Ofrim) Camrose; Hilda (Mrs. Mjolsness) Edmonton; Ellen (Mrs. Foster) Edmonton; Manda (Mrs. Hostvedt) Minot, North Dakota; Lydia (Mrs. Mortimer) Calgary. She also leaves 38 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and three brothers; Ole and Johaness Moen of Ocean, Iowa, and John Moen of Chinook, Montana.
One daughter, Josephine (Mrs. Ed. Hendrickson) predeceased her in August 1943, also two sisters and one brother.
