Mary Pauline Cheffer Stricker
15 April 1923 - 23 February 2016

***

Mary was born April 15, 1923 to

FATHER:
John Lowden Hittson 3717755
b. Oct. 2, 1898 d. Apr. 30, 1945

and

MOTHER:
Lillian Bower Hittson Cheffer 22683495
b. Mar. 6, 1900 d. Oct. 27, 1997

STEPFATHER:
Ira Ralph Cheffer 22682715
b. Oct. 27, 1888 d. Aug. 27, 1979

She apparently started using her stepfather's surname later, according to 1940 census. In the 1930 census Ira and Lillian had been married about two years, she was said to be Age 6, Birth Year (Estimated) 1924.

Census and other official records are not always correct either.

The obituary is not totally correct, however, it is apparently what the family wants or believes, and it should not be changed.
