Darlene (Polly) Ready, died Friday, January 9, 2004 in Topeka, KS. She was born March 3, 1931 in Jefferson County, Kansas to Clarency Ready and Laverne Martin Ready of Easton, KS. She moved to Topeka in 1946 and graduated from Washburn Rural High School in 1948 and attended Clarks Business School. In 1949 she married Duane Bergren and two sons were born to this union; they were later divorced. After leaving Topeka in 1965 to reside in Omaha, NE she was employed at U.N.M.C. and retired in 1984. She is preceded in death by parents Clarence and Laverne. She is survived by companion, Dr. Donald E. Clark, Topeka, KS, sons Randy and Colleen Bergren of Gretna, NE, Dennis Bergren and Jan of Omaha, NE and three grandchildren, Christine, Jake and Katie Bergren all of Gretna. Memorials to Easton Cemetery, Easton, Kansas, care of the Easton Bank. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Easton Cemetery, Easton, KS.
