Norma L. Whitlow, 84, passed away on February 9, 2016. Norma was born on May 21, 1931 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Sumner Lee and Uvenia Thelma (Itter) Shores.
Norma enjoyed being outside and working in her yard. Her yard always looked pristine. In her younger years, she enjoyed dancing with her husband; together they would dance the Jitter Bug. Norma enjoyed listening to Big Band music.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John E. Whitlow; brother, John Shores; and sister, Mary Pierce. Survivors include her children, Teresa Gingrich and husband Bob, Maria Ward, Philip Whitlow, Bryan Whitlow, and Lisa Hoelscher and husband Craig; grandchildren, Zachary Gingrich, Jeff Base, Brad Base, Whitney Furnas and husband Jon, Courtney Whitlow, Austin Whitlow, Trevor Whitlow and wife Meaghan, Cole Whitlow, Trae Hoelscher, and Taylor Hoelscher; 7 great-grandchildren; and many other family members who will miss her dearly.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2016 at Sunny Lane Cemetery.
