On the 5th May at St Claire, Catherine Allison the beloved wife of Thomas Lowery of Spring Valley Crichton Tokomairiro in her fifthieth year. Deeply regretted.

FUNERAL
The funeral of the late Mrs T Lowery took place on Sunday, and was one of the largest that has been seen in this district. Deceased was highly respected by all who knew her, and great sympathy is felt for the family in their sudden, though not unexpected bereavement. The Rev. Mr Miller officiated at the grave.
