Anders was the son of Hans Andersen and Mary Jensen. He married Ane Sine Nielsen in Denmark. They were the parents of Hans (1886), Chris, William, Carla S (1892, Peter Johnson), and Wilhelmina Marie (1888, Walter Wendrup).

Mr Hansens death was caused by a stroke of paralysis which occurred three months ago. Mr Hansen was helpless as a result of this stroke for 7 seven weeks before his death. Mr Hansen came from Copenhagen about 6 years ago. He and Mrs Hansen lived in Newell two years. For the past three years they have lived at Mr Andreasens home, Mrs Hansen being the housekeeper for Mr Andreasen and Mr Hansen working as a tiler.
He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife and three sons and two daughters: Hans and Chris Hansen of Sioux City; Willie Hansen, who resides with his mother at Mr Andreasons home; Mrs Peter Johnson of Worthington, MN, who has two children, Anna and Winifred; and Mrs Walter Wendrup of this place. Also a grandchild in addition to the two named above, Carlo Hansen of Sioux City, Iowa.
The funeral services were held at the Danish Lutheran church in Newell last Wednesday June 12.
