Dec. 5, 1967 - Dec. 20, 2015
Tammy Marie Gray entered into rest on Dec. 20 and awoke in Heaven on Dec. 21. Tammy suffered from a massive heart attack in her sleep.
She is survived by her loving husband and high school sweetheart of 30 years, Michael Scott Gray, both graduated class of '81 Armijo High of Fairfield. Mike's last year of high school was at Country High on Browns Valley Rd, with honors, to square things up in a timely manner for the USMC; sons, Michael Hollis and Matthew Scott Gray; mother, Linda; father, Claude Moore; brother, Joseph; and sister, Betty. Tammy's grandparents, Carl and Ellen Schultze preceded Tammy to heaven, both were missionaries in Cameroon, Africa providing medical support and the loving word of God. Tammy's parents were also missionaries in the Cochello Valley where they ran a mission for the homeless. Growing up in the mission field, it was a natural action for Tammy to help out in our church, First Assembly of God Church in Fairfield. Tammy worked in the office, taught Sunday School Class, and was a missionette leader. She brought fun and excitement to the girls group as they studied the Bible. Tammy was so talented! She did a beautiful job painting the animated characters on the Sunday school classroom walls. Tammy was also a state licensed manicurist at Sheer Attitude in Dixon., and a Wilton Cake Instructor at Michael's in Vacaville.
A few words to my Tammy. You were a nurturing mother to our sons, the love of my life. You truly put your family first. I love and miss you, sweet sweet lady. Until I catch up with you someday in heaven, you will always be the love of my life. May you rest in peace.
Rev. Dr. Eric Laura will be officiating Tammy's memorial celebration of life journey Saturday, Jan. 16 at 1 p.m., at First Assembly of God, 2207 Union Ave., Fairfield, 707-425-3612. Burial will be Monday, Jan. 18, at 3 p.m., at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon. Tammy would be very pleased with your kindness of donations on her behalf to First Assembly of God, Fairfield.
