PETER WHEAT was the son of Mrs. Martha Brown Wheat and Dave Wheat, of North Carolina.

First wife - Mrs. Minnie Taylor Wheat {married 1875}
Second wife - Mrs. Harriett Brazile (Rogers) Wheat {marrried 1880}

His wives preceded him in death.

Upon his passing, he was laid to rest on March 15, 1932 on the grounds of Rock Springs Cemetery in Scottsville, Texas.

Burial arrangements were managed by Milton Williams and the undertakers with Peoples Funeral Home, of Marshall, Texas.

His daughter, Mrs. Essie Westmoreland, and Will Westmoreland were witnesses and present at the time of his death.
